Every year begins a new era for the Bayou Board of REALTORS®. With the “Committee” concept, the Bayou Board of REALTORS® will be able to accomplish specific tasks occurring on an annual basis.

Basic Function:

Attends all meetings of the Committee, prepares Committee assignments, and works toward the fulfillment of the Committee objective.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Attends ALL meetings of the Committee.
2. Carries out individual assignments, which are made by the Committee Chairperson.
3. Reviews all relevant material prior to the Committee meetings. Is prepared to make contributions
and voice opinions concerning the Committee issues.
4. It is the responsibility of each Committee Member to assure they are receiving Committee Meeting Notification.
5. Share information among Committee members as it relates to the Committee’s purpose and goals.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & FAIR HOUSING

Works to develop and coordinate awareness of REALTORS® in our surrounding communities by “Lending a Helping Hand.” Such programs include but not limited to Emergency Victims, Charities, Holiday Season Events, etc. Provides input on programs, products and services developed in the areas for Fair Housing and Diversity, Low Income housing programs and housing needs. The group reviews federal programs impacting housing areas, and developments tools to communicate and educate the membership on housing programs available to clients and customers.

MEMBERSHIP

Works to develop communication lines among Board Membership. Promotes Affiliate awareness and recognition programs. Plans the Annual Installation Banquet and helps implement the Annual Awards

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Works to development and coordinate education and professional development programs offered through National, State and Local programs to ensure our members’ needs are meet.
